Mrs.Louise Eubanks Longshore, age 92 of Centre, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Cherokee County Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Longshore spent her life serving others and was loved by all she encountered. She spent 50 plus years operating the Eubanks family store in Ballplay. Mrs. Longshore was of Christian faith and a member of Sardis Hill Baptist Church. Family, Faith and Food were pillars of Mrs. Longshore’s life. Mrs. Longshore was a phenomenal cook and loved Sundays where she would prepare Sunday Dinner for the entire family. Being surrounded by her family and singing Gospel hymns was Mrs. Longshore’s idea of the perfect day. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 02, 2024 at Sardis Hill Baptist Church with Blake Arthur & Holly Patterson officiating. Receiving of friends will begin at noon with the Celebration of Life to follow immediately beginning at 1PM.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Tucker (Jerry) Whatley; grandchildren, Blake (Jill) Arthur, Holly (Colby) Patterson; great-grandchildren, Eva Arthur, Mackenzie Patterson, Zoey Patterson, Cooper Patterson, Wheeler Arthur, Justin Arthur, Asa Arthur, Corbin Patterson; sisters, Doris Payne, Patsy Childers; special sister-in-law, Dixie Eubanks; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Longshore was preceded in death by her sons, Eddie Tucker, Freddie Tucker & Dennis Earl Tucker; daughter, Pamela Tucker; brothers, Moris Eubanks & Marlin Eubanks; son-in-law, Ronnie Arthur.
Mrs. Longshore was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Roy Thomas & Delorice Eubanks.
The family request no flowers and donations be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of CCHRC especially those nurses and aides at Station 5 and the entire team from Pro-Health Hospice for their loving care and support.
