A 33 year old Trion, Georgia man was recently sentenced to a term of ten years in prison.
That sentence was handed down in Chattooga County Superior Court – to Joshua Lamar Blackmon – who has a history of arrests, in both Chattooga and Floyd Counties, dating back over a decade. Blackmon plead guilty to charges of trafficking cocaine and possession of methamphetamine.
He was arrested on Highway 27 at Taylor’s Ridge in June of last year, and deputies found drugs inside the vehicle that he was driving. In addition to the ten-year prison sentence – Blackmon has been ordered to pay $18,853.50 in fines.
