There was only one change among area basketball teams in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association basketball poll, released early Thursday.
The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers (17-9) re-entered the Class 1A girls rankings at No. 8. The Lady Tigers host top-ranked Spring Garden (24-1) on Thursday.
Sand Rock (18-7) maintained its No. 8 ranking in Class 2A. Cherokee County (19-4) continued to receive consideration in the Class 4A girls poll.
On the boys’ side, Spring Garden (19-3) holds steady at No. 4 and Collinsville (16-8) maintained its No. 5 ranking in Class 2A. Piedmont (12-9) continues to be nominated in Class 3A.
