Mr.John Kirkpatrick Allen, age 76, of Centre, Alabama, passed away on
January 18, 2024, after a long illness with Lewy Body Dementia.

John was a graduate of Midwestern Bible College in Pontiac, Michigan.
He served in ministry for over 40 years, was the pastor of East Centre
Baptist Church in Centre, Alabama from 1998 to 2014, and an active
member of First Baptist Church of Centre, Alabama.

John loved the Lord, and his most fervent wish was to see all his loved
ones come to know Christ. He loved to tell others about the gospel. His
family is comforted by the assurance that they will see him again soon,
fully and completely healed.

John was preceded in death by his parents – James Allen and Dorothy
Allen, and his sister – Suzanne Siple. He is survived by his wife of 50
years – Alana, daughters – Amanda Allen and Holly Jo Flora, son-in-law –
Alex Flora, grandchildren – Madelyn and Derek Flora, brothers – Gary
Allen (wife Pat) and Dan Allen (wife Bonnie), as well as numerous nieces
and nephews.
John’s Celebration of Life Service will be at First Baptist Centre’s The
ROC in Centre, Alabama on Sunday, January 28 th at 2 PM. In lieu of
flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation or First Baptist Centre’s Building Fund.
