For the first Hard Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 9 expected; for the second Hard Freeze Warning there will be sub-freezing temperatures as low as 8 expected.

Portions of central Alabama.
* WHEN
For the first Hard Freeze Warning, from 8 PM this evening to noon CST Saturday. For the second Hard Freeze Warning, from 6 PM Saturday to 9 AM CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS
Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTION
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold – and don’t forget to prevent any freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes, be sure they’re wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. All those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
