HEFLIN – Mary Hayes Johnson and Nevaeh Gaidurgis both tossed in 14 points to lead the Cherokee County Lady Warriors in a basketball rout at Cleburne County by the final of 64-26.
Johnson sank three 3-pointers for the Lady Warriors. She also had five steals and three assists. Gaidurgis gained two boards, two steals and an assist.
Ellisan Givens netted nine points to go along with three rebounds and two steals. Deannia Starr delivered six points, six rebounds, two steals and an assist. Ava Haygood finished with five points, six steals, two rebounds and two assists.
Faith Brown led Cleburne County with 14 points. Hannah Turley finished with nine points.
Cherokee County jumped out to a 20-5 first-quarter advantage and cruised to a 36-17 halftime lead. The Lady Warriors led 52-24 after three quarters.
Cherokee County hosts Hokes Bluff on Friday.
