Kyler Bradley sends Trojans out a winner in 2023

GAYLESVILLE – The Gaylesville Trojans closed out 2023 with a bang in their own Christmas Basketball Classic on Friday.

Trailing Valley Head by two with six seconds remaining, Kyler Bradley was fouled shooting a 3-pointer, sending him to the free-throw line for three shots. Bradley made all three to lift the Trojans to a 74-73 victory.

Bradley led all scorers with 33 points, including five treys. He also had seven steals, three rebounds and an assist. Collin Hendon came away with 14 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Kuper Bradley contributed 13 points, five rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Caden Angle rang for 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, to go along with, 11 rebounds, three blocks and an assist. Daylen Dobbins grabbed 10 boards and had an assist.

Kolby Dupree delivered 22 points to lead Valley Head. Daniel Gibson added 18 points. Nate Bain tossed in 17 points. Lennon Pike posted nine points, all on 3-pointers.

Gaylesville led 17-11 at the end of the first quarter and held a 38-34 advantage at halftime. The Trojans maintained a 57-54 lead after three quarters before surrendering the lead late, setting the stage for Kyler Bradley’s heroics in the final seconds.
