According to the Rome Police Department, the suspect in a rash of armed robberies has been taken into custody; two of the robberies occurred in the North Rome area, and one was in the West Rome area.

Edward Louis Crowder, age 53, was booked in at the Floyd County Jail on December 22nd on three counts of armed robbery, a count of aggravated assault, and a probation violation.
