One Killed in Head-On Collision in North Georgia Friday

A two-vehicle wreck at Redmond Circle and Lavender Drive claimed the life of a 60-year-old Rome man Friday afternoon.  According to the Rome News-Tribune Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor, said that Louis Casey Jr., was pronounced dead at 12:45 that afternoon – from the “blunt force” injuries that he sustained to his head and chest.  Casey’s vehicle apparently drifted into the path of an oncoming car.

No other injuries were reported.

The Rome Police Department is investigating the crash.
