GERALDINE – Deannia Starr netted a game-high 15 points to lead the Cherokee County Lady Warriors to a 53-25 basketball win in the Liberty Bank Invitational on Wednesday.
Ava Haygood added nine points for the Lady Warriors (4-1). Mary Hayes Johnson scored six points. Nevaeh Gaidurgis and Ellisan Givens both finished with five points.
Maddie Hayes led the Lady Eagles with 14 points including three 3-pointers.
Douglas led 12-5 at the end of the first quarter, but the Lady Warriors rallied to take a 23-17 advantage at halftime.
