32 Year Old Motorcyclist Killed in Northwest Georgia Accident

Charges have recently been filed in connection with an accident that took place on November 4th – one which claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

According to Floyd County Jail records:  Curtis William Womack of Rome – age 38 – turned left onto Martha Berry Highway from Old Dalton Road, using the center turn lane as a merge lane; his vehicle struck a motorcycle head-on, killing the rider, identified as 32-year-old James Jordan Mitchell of Rome.  Womack is charged with:  Second-Degree Homicide by Vehicle – and Improperly Using the Central Lane – both misdemeanors.
