A single-vehicle accident on Friday night sent an Etowah County man to the hospital.

According to Alabama State Troopers that wreck involved a ’98 Chevy S-10, being driven by a male resident of Attalla – after he apparently lost control on Bruton Gap Road around 11:30pm.  The vehicle reportedly left the roadway crossed through a ditch and took out a telephone pole – and then crashed into a tree.  The driver was taken by private vehicle to Riverview Regional Hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
