Wreck on Taylor’s Ridge in Georgia Causes Delays / Temporary Road Blockage

Traffic Being Re-routed At Taylor’s Ridge Friday Morning

FRIDAY UPDATE as of 9:55am (Georgia Time) / Chattooga 9-1-1

Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader has stated that a single vehicle crash near Kirby Hollow Road – downed a large number of power lines.  Traffic on Highway 27/Taylor’s Ridge is still at a standstill, due to the auto accident.  Power is being cut due to these lines being down.  Traffic is being re-routed from Highway 27 on Taylor’s Ridge to Highway 100.

Power lines are down near Butler Dairy Road and Highway 27.  It could be several hours before repairs are made.   Use caution and expect delays and please use an alternate route until the accident has been cleared and lines are back in place.  About 450 customers in the area of Taylor’s Ridge are affected.
