Cedar Bluff’s Jenkins jolts Appalachian

CEDAR BLUFF – Cedar Bluff’s Hunter Jenkins made his presence felt on both sides of the ball Friday night against Appalachian. He ran for 165 yards on 19 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns. He also posted eight tackles on defense, including three for loss with a pair of sacks in the Tigers’ 21-16 victory in Class 1A, Region 7 football action on Friday night.

Hunter Stallings went 3-of-4 passing for 51 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown to Alex Baty.

Cedar Bluff’s defense did the rest as the Tigers recorded seven sacks on the night. Caleb Edmondson and Kadien Tracy both had an interception.

Carson Webb made 11 tackles, including four for loss with two sacks. Kaden Pack posted nine tackles. Tracy added eight tackles, including two for loss with a sack. Kadin Fife made six stops, including three for loss and a sack. Carter Dillingham finished with five tackles, including one for loss and a sack.

Cedar Bluff (4-5, 2-4) hosts Donoho on Friday. Appalachian (4-5, 2-4) hosts Southeastern.
