ASHVILLE – The Cherokee County Warriors closed out Class 4A, Region 6 football play undefeated with a 56-7 victory at Ashville on Friday night.
The win improved the Warriors’ record to 9-0 (6-0 region). They’ll finish the regular season at home against Class 6A Fort Payne on Friday before hosting Central of Florence in the first round of the state playoffs on Nov. 10.

Whitesburg Christian 38, Sand Rock 22
HUNTSVILLE – Whitesburg Christian picked up its first football win of the season Friday night with a 38-22 victory over Sand Rock in Class 2A, Region 7 action.
Sand Rock closed out the 2023 season at 2-8.
