75-year-old man charged with murder for allegedly killing wife in north Alabama
A 75-year-old man was charged with murder after he allegedly killed his wife on Thursday morning in north Alabama.
Scottsboro police officers responded to a call in the 600 block of South Market Street about a man killing his wife inside a home, according to Det. Sgt. Ryan Putnam. At the home, officers found Alvin Dean Cornelison, 75, who told authorities he killed his wife, Mary, and that she was inside the home. Cornelison was arrested – and charged with murder. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail, where bond information is pending.
