The Historical Preservation Society will be holding their August meeting on Thursday, August 31st in downtown Centre – at the Historical Museum on Main Street. Start time is set for 6:00 pm, doors open at 5:45 pm.
Rev. George Cobb will present that program dressed in period costume on “The Future of Cherokee County in the aftermath of the War of 1812”. His presentation will give a look back at many of the on-goings of Fort Armstrong and the patriots that participated in the war.
Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome as this is a FREE event hosted by the Historical Preservation Society.
