Mrs. Birdie Mae Reid, age 87 of Centre passed away Wednesday, August 2nd at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, August 4th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herbert Reid officiating, burial will follow in Hebron of Key Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Larry Hale, Charles Bowen, James Miller, Scott Wells, Alvis Wells, Jeremy Goodwin and Winston Black.
Survivors include son, Ray Reid (Lisa); brother, Grady Wells; special niece and caregiver, Mary Elizabeth Hale; friend, Peggy Hale.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Reid and son, Roger Dale Reid.
Ms. Reid was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late John Wells and Mary Lou Hunter and she was of the Baptist faith. Birdie was a very loving mother and a great aunt.
The family requests no food.
