A number of emergency response agencies including the Spring Creek and McCord’s Fire Departments are now on the scene of a serious house fire (Thursday) in Cherokee County.
The fire, at County Road 522 in the Piney community was called in around 5:50 this morning – early reports indicated that the home was already fully involved, with the roof in flames and also other parts of the structure already on fire, leading to firefighters having to battle the blaze from a defensive point of view.
