Dangerously hot conditions will develop across the area over the next several days as high pressure builds over the region. Most of Central Alabama will experience daytime heat indices ranging from 105-114 degrees beginning Thursday and lasting through the weekend. Heat related stress may be compounded by the prolonged nature of this event with warm nights providing little in the way of relief.
An Excessive Heat Warning was issued for a large portion of the area for Thursday and Friday. A Heat Advisory was also issued for the eastern counties not in the Excessive Heat Warning.
