Mrs. Brenda Acker Ferguson

Funeral services for Brenda Acker Ferguson, 68, of Spring Garden will be
Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with
Rev. Ricky Pollard officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until the time of service. A private graveside
burial for family and close friends will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Forney, Alabama.

Brenda passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, from injuries received in a
car accident.

Survivors include her daughter, Erica Ferguson Wangrycht (Mathew);
granddaughters, Emma and Brooklyn Wangrycht of Henderson, Nevada;
brothers, Robert Earl Acker (Cindy) and Dennis Acker (Donna) of Spring
Garden; sister, Marcia Acker Kerns (Tim) of Fort Payne; brother-in-law,
Ernie Ferguson (Rita) of Centre; aunt, Blanche Acker Rose (Boyd) of
Atlanta; nieces and nephews, Kenny Kirk (Brooke), Josh Kirk (Beth),
Kelli Acker (Chris Smith), Colby Acker (Brooke McFry), Zac Ferguson, Meg
Kerns, Robby Acker; and special friends, Joan Pollard and Ellen Walker.

Brenda was a loving wife, supportive mother and an amazing Nana who
enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters. If you ever shared a
conversation with her, you probably felt like you knew her
granddaughters. She was a caring daughter, kind sister, and helpful
friend to all who enjoyed traveling with her family and friends,
farming, gardening, and supporting local sports teams. She was a strong
believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Many lifelong friendships were made
with those she met in her travels and moves throughout the country. She
was a current resident of Spring Garden, a former resident of Henderson,
NV, and a 1973 graduate of Spring Garden High School.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Ferguson; son, Daryl
Ferguson; parents, Earl and Margaret Acker; parents-in-law, Doyce and
Marvine Ferguson; and many aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers are Kenny Kirk, Josh Kirk, Colby Acker, Robby Acker, Brylee
Acker, Ernie Ferguson, and Troy Jiles.  Honorary pallbearers are the
SGHS Class of 1973.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Garden
Volunteer Fire Department, 4635 County Road 8, Piedmont, AL 37282 or a
charity of your choice.
