Three Hurt, One Killed in DeKalb County 18 Wheeler Wreck

Two 18 wheelers collided Thursday morning in DeKalb County – killing one and sending three others to the hospital.

According to the Alabama State Troopers Post at Jacksonville – that accident took place at around 9:15am, on I-59 Southbound, near the 226 mile marker. 

A 2015 International contained two injuries, including both the driver and a passenger who were sent to an area hospital, and a male passenger who was Fatally Injured in that crash – all three from Flushing, New York. 

A 2017 Peterbilt was the other vehicle, and the driver – a male from Cartersville, Georgia – was also injured and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

We’ll have additional information once the accident report has been completed and provided by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
