Victim Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound at the Wal-Mart Parking Lot in Chattooga County on Monday Evening
Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader has confirmed that a person died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Monday evening in the parking lot at Walmart in Trion.
The sheriff’s office responded to a call about a gun going off inside a vehicle in the parking lot at Wal-Mart.
The sheriff confirmed that someone had shot themselves inside a vehicle at 6:53pm; the victim was transported to a Rome area hospital and later pronounced dead.
After the family was notified, the sheriff stated at 8:20pm, “The victim from the earlier call at Wal-Mart has passed”.
