A two vehicle collision in neighboring Etowah County claimed the lives of five people on Wednesday night.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency the wreck took place at 10:10pm on I-59 at the 182 Mile Marker involving a 2016 Chevrolet and a 2019 Toyota, both of which burst into flame as a result of the impact.
At this point it appears that one person inside the Chevrolet was fatally injured along with four others in the Toyota.
That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers
