A 9-1-1 call received Saturday afternoon reporting an overturned boat with 3 or 4 people in the lake near Hog Island.
The Cherokee County Rescue Squad, law enforcement, Gaylesville Fire Department, and Atrium Floyd EMS were dispatched to the scene.
Before emergency crews arrived, a nearby boater picked up the victims and transported them to Little River Marina. No injuries were reported.
