OXFORD – Piedmont pushed across single runs in the fourth and seventh innings, and pitcher Savannah Smith made those runs hold in the Lady Bulldogs’ 2-0 softball win at Oxford on Thursday.
Smith scattered four hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts in earning the complete-game win.
Ava Pope posted a pair of hits. Armoni Perry tripled and drove in a run. Cacey Brothers added a hit and scored twice. Sarah Goss and Jenna Calvert both had a hit. Abby Baird drove in a run.
