According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Cherokee County deputies  responded to a call at a residence on County Road 101 last night around 9:30 PM regarding a shooting. Two people were shot at the residence and both were transported to area hospitals.

 Cherokee County Sheriff’s Investigators and Jacksonville State University Center for Applied Forensics responded and processed the scene.

 The case remains under investigation by Sheriff’s investigators and no other information can be released at this time.

 There is no threat to the community in relation to this case.
