Due to the threat of severe weather, several area schools will be dismissing early today (Thursday, February 16th, 2023).

Albertville City Schools will dismiss classes at 1pm.

Anniston City Schools will dismiss 2 hours early.

Boaz City Schools will dismiss classes at 1pm.

Calhoun County Schools will dismiss 2 hours early.

Cherokee County Schools will dismiss 1:30pm; all after-school activities canceled.

Cornerstone Christian Academy will close at 2pm and all after-school activities are canceled.

DeKalb County Schools will close at 2pm and all after-school activities are canceled.

Donoho School will dismiss 2 hours early.

Etowah County Schools will dismiss at 1:30pm.

Fort Payne City Schools will close at 2pm and all after-school activities are canceled.

Gadsden State Community College: all campuses of GSCC will be closing at 5pm; all evening classes are also canceled.

Jacksonville Christian Academy will dismiss 2 hours early.

Marshall County Schools will be released at 12:30pm. There will be no after-school activities.

Northeast Alabama Community College will close at 1pm.

Oxford City Schools will dismiss early: OXFORD MID 11:50am; CE HANNA & OXFORD HS 12pm; OXFORD ELE, COLDWATER & DEARMANVILLE 12:15pm.

Westbrook Christian School will dismiss 2 hours early.
