FREE toys and stuffed animals, along with refurbished bicycles, scooters, and push toys, – and the list goes on – will be available this Saturday (December 24th) on a first come, first served basis at Cherokee Storage in Leesburg.
This Christmas giveaway is an annual event, sponsored by Little River Baptist Church and Richard Mathis who told us that he first started repairing bicycles while working with missionaries in Mexico and when he returned to the states in 2010 he continued the tradition.
Richard realized that this was a wonderful way to help children in need during one of the most important times of the year.
Again, there’s a wide variety of items to choose from with the emphasis on those toys designed for smaller children. Richard says you don’t have to pre-register, just show up starting at 9:00 this Saturday morning (December 24th).
Cherokee Storage is located on Weiss Lake Boulevard around a half-mile past the red light in Leesburg. For additional information dial (256) 300-0327.
