The newest school board member of the Cherokee County Board of Education was sworn into office Monday afternoon in the Cherokee County Courthouse.
Nathan Ealy was administered the Oath of Office by Cherokee County District Court Judge Wes Mobley.
Ealy was joined by his wife, Laura and three girls Evelyn (11), Charley Kate (9), and Lizzie (3). Also in attendance were Superintendent Mike Welsh, District Attorney elect Summer Summerford, Circuit Judge Jeremy Taylor, Cherokee County Revenue Commissioner Dustin St. Clair, and Ashley and Thaxton Mobley.
Mr. Ealy ran unopposed in the Republican primary and in the general election. He will now occupy the seat formerly held by Kathy Mobbs. His first scheduled Board of Education meeting will be December 14th.
