Cherokee County rescue personnel including EMA officials responded to a location at 1154 County Road 212, shortly after 9:00 on Saturday morning – where a man had to be pulled from the water.
It appears the individual had been fishing and at some point his boat struck the dock, tossing him overboard.
Eyewitnesses contacted 9-1-1 dispatch requesting help, and fortunately, the man was wearing a life jacket and holding onto a trolling motor.
Early reports indicated the man suffered no significant injuries but was exhausted as he was in the water for around 25 minutes prior to being rescued.
