The jury continues deliberations in the murder trial of a northwest Georgia woman.
Renee Lanham stands charged with the murder of her husband. The 53 year old hair dresser is facing several charges, including counts of: felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit murder and criminal solicitation.
The trial began in August – and was first delayed because Lanham’s defense attorney had COVID; the case was then delayed further, in the wake of the Labor Day Weekend Flood which caused extensive damage in downtown Summerville. Afterwards – Lookout Mountain Circuit Judge Don Thompson moved the proceedings to Walker County. A jury has been deliberating since late last week.
Lanham’s defense attorney maintains that she is innocent.
