Mrs. Faye Kilgore Boatfield, age 91 of Centre, Alabama passed away peacefully at her residence on July 12, 2022. She was born on August 8, 1930 to the late Charlie and Hazel Johnson Kilgore. Mrs. Boatfield was a devout member of First Baptist Church, Centre for over 70 years.
A funeral service will be held on July 15, 2022 at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church Recreational Outreach Center in Centre, Alabama with burial to follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. The family will have a private graveside service.
Pallbearers will include Bill Trammell, Greg Bomian, Danny Tucker, David Akin, Jimmy Griffith, Tracy Bishop, Rodney Hopper, and Douglas Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will include Larry “Frog” West, Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Randall McCord, Ronnie Bates, and John Coggin.
Mrs. Boatfield is survived by her children, Mike (Lacy) Boatfield of Powder Springs, Georgia; David (Cindy) Boatfield of Allen, Texas; Nelda (Glen) Jolly of Centre, and Karen Boatfield of Centre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse “Red” Boatfield, and son, Jonathan Boatfield.
She also leaves seven grandchildren: Shannon Boatfield, Lindy Keener, Solomon Boatfield, Elise Thomas, Joshua Boatfield, Trey Boatfield, and Jayde Boatfield; 4 great grandchildren: Christian Boatfield, Caleb Boatfield, Braylon Boatfield, and Brodie Boatfield. She is also survived by a host of special nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, it was her request that memorials be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church Centre.
