Mrs. Thelma “Sally” Steele, age 90 of Gaylesville, passed away Sunday, July 3rd at her residence.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include Jamie Jones, Chris Steele, Justin Barnes, Jonathan Shook, Logan Shook, and Lee Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will include Carson Greene.
She is survived by her daughters, Vera (James) Jones, Phyllis (Wayne) Smothers, Windy (Jerry Don) Stone; daughter-in-law, Tina Steele; grandchildren, Jamie (Shelby) Jones, Valerie (Jonathan) Shook, April (Josh) Poss, Chris (Amanda) Steele, Justin (Lexie) Barnes, Casey (Lee) Kennedy; several great grandchildren, and special niece Diane Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy “White” Steele; son, Edward Roy Steele; sisters, Othell Covington, Hazel Steele; brothers; Earl Crane, J.B. Crane, Leno Crane, Dwight Crane, Rudolph Crane, Arthur Crane, Joe Crane, James Crane.
Ms. Steele was a native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Emma Crane, and she was of the Baptist faith.
