Dr. Sheila Bennett with Atrium Health Floyd Discusses “Instant Interview Search” Event Taking Place Wednesday and Thursday (April 27th and 28th)

Tuesday’s edition of “Live Well Cherokee” included some very important information for those seeking jobs in the medical field, with on-site interviews being conducted at Atrium Health Floyd in Rome, today and tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday, April 27th and 28th).

Morning Show host Jerry Baker welcomed into the studios via telephone, Dan Bevels, the Public Information Director and Dr. Sheila Bennett, the Executive Vice-President in charge of Patient Services at Floyd:


These are career building jobs, and they’re looking to fill a number of these positions immediately. Dr. Bennett stressed that a resume is preferred but NOT required:

Those interviews will be taking place on the grounds of Atrium Health Floyd in Rome at 304 Turner McCall Boulevard. That event gets underway starting at 4:00pm today (Wednesday) and will be kicking-off tomorrow (Thursday) at 8:00am.

Dr. Bennett joined​ Floyd in 2007 as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. She was named Executive Vice President and Chief of Patient Services in 201​8. 

​Previously, Dr. Bennett was associated for 12 years with Adventist Health System where she served as Vice President of Human Resources and as Chief Nursing Officer for Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in La Grange, Illinois​.  Dr. Bennett earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from American Sentinel University in Denver, Colorado. She received a Master of Healthcare Administration and a bachelor’s degree in health arts from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Jacksonville University in ​ Jacksonville, Florida. ​  Dr. Bennett is president of the Georgia Association of Healthcare Quality and serves on the Injury Prevention committee for the Trauma Centers of America Association. She is the immediate past president of the Georgia Organization of Nurse Leaders.
