Centre Woman Arrested in Northwest Georgia for Using an Axe to Break Into a Home in Cave Spring

Floyd County Police say a Centre, Alabama woman used an axe to smash her way into a residence on Fosters Mill Road in Cave Spring.

According to the arrest warrant, Glenda Faye Godfrey had to cross a fence and locked gate to go onto the property.  She then used the axe to shatter glass out of the carport door to gain entry to the home.  The warrant states that several photo albums were taken during the break-in, which occurred sometime between March 1st and March 6th.

Godfrey was charged with Burglary 1st Degree and Criminal Trespass.
