Two Accidents With Injuries Reported On Wednesday In Cherokee County

Two separate auto accidents involving injuries occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Cherokee County.

The first, a two-vehicle wreck, took place on the Cedar Bluff Road in Centre at around 3:10, with one person reportedly being transported for treatment.

Those responding to the scene included Centre Police and Fire units and Floyd EMS.

The second mishap was at around 4:50, with one person being hurt when the vehicle left the roadway and went down an embankment on County Road 44 about two miles east of Leesburg.

Those responding included Leesburg Fire, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and Floyd EMS.

Both wrecks remain under investigation.

Meanwhile, Alabama State Troopers responded to a minor two-vehicle accident with no injuries; that took place on Alexis Road just prior to 4:00pm.
