One Injured Person In Single Vehicle Accident On County Road 71 / UPDATED

A Centre resident was injured in a single-vehicle rollover on County Road 71 early Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, the crash took place at 2:10pm approximately two miles west of Centre, and involved a 2005 Ford Focus driven by 49 year old Tyrone Randolph.

He was transported to an area hospital for treatment, after his vehicle left the roadway and rolled down a steep embankment.

Those responding to the scene included Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, firefighters from both the Centre and Mt. Weisner Fire Departments, Cherokee EMS and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad along with Alabama State Troopers.

The report contained no additional information regarding the extent of Randolph’s injuries
