Cherokee County authorities arrested two individuals on drug charges in the early morning hours of Sunday.

According to information on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website:

Demetrious Jermore Simon, age 31 of Anniston, was charged with the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a Violation of the Prohibition Law.

Nancy Rebecca Huddleston, age 43 of Heflin was charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Huddleston was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 2:00am with Simon being book in at around 4:30.

Both remain behind bars waiting setting of bond.
