Cherokee County authorities arrested five people on drug charges Tuesday afternoon.

Dakota Blake Gray, age 18 / Coy Austin Tidwell, age 28 and Alicia Megan Payne, age 28 – all of Rainsville / Donald Eugene Mays, age 18 of Cedar Bluff / and Ashley Marie Hinkle, age 30 of Scottsboro – were each charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All five were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center between 5:30 and 6:30pm
