A 26 year old Ft Payne woman working as a Scottsboro school employee has been arrested on charges of having sexual relations with a student.
Kandace Christopher was taken into custody Monday afternoon and charged with Engaging in Sexual Intercourse and Sexual Contact with a Student.
WAFF TV48 is reporting that – according to jail records – Christopher stated that she was a former employee; however, it’s unclear if she resigned or was terminated.
Her Facebook page says she served as a history teacher at Scottsboro High School, and also served as a junior high basketball coach and assistant varsity softball coach.
Christopher was later released on $16,000 bond.
