According to Anniston Police Captain Allen George, Calhoun County DHR was contacted by a local elementary school on December 11th (2014), in reference to a possible case of child abuse. The nine year old male victim was interviewed at the Calhoun/Cleburne Children’s Center soon thereafter and during the course of that interview, stated that he had been hit multiple times with a switch, for relieving himself on the bedroom floor – he explained that he had been locked in his bedroom and didn’t have access to a bathroom.

The child had a number of marks visible on both legs; the case was presented to the District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was obtained against 28 year old Jeremy Scott Wilkinson of Anniston – which led to his arrest.
