Cherokee County authorities arrested three people on drug charges overnight.

Amy Louise Backstrom, age 46 of Rome Georgia was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in addition to one count of Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree and Possession of a Concealed Weapon.

Christopher George Salster, age 44 of Attalla and Ariel Dawn Fletcher, age 23 from Gadsden were charged with two counts each of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All three were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center between 12:30 and 2:00am Friday.
