Emma Jeanette “Lindsey” Chumbler, age 82 of Gaylesville, passed away Saturday, February 27th at Cherokee County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 1:PM Monday, February 29th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Corey Colbert officiating; burial will follow in Sand Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11AM until 1:PM Monday.
Pallbearers include Gary Colbert, Wayne Lindsey, Kenneth Lindsey, Sammy Lindsey, Benny Colbert, Richard Chumbler.
Survivors include son, Gerald L. (Christine) Chumbler of Gaylesville; daughter, Judy Mason of Gaylesville; grandchildren, Lisa Maples, Allison Kilgro; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Pete, Bill, Houston and Charles Lindsey; sister, Madalene Davis.
Mrs. Chumbler was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Grady and Lois Mae Sewell Lindsey and was a retired cook from the Cherokee County Correctional Facility.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sand Valley Cemetery fund.
