WRGA News| The Georgia Department of Revenue is investigating the apparent theft of ad valorem taxes at Car Xpress on Shorter Avenue.
At around 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Rome Police and the revenue department executed a search warrant at the business. According to Nick Genesi, Communucations Director with the GDOR, “Basically, some taxes are not being remitted.”
He said the amount was well over $100,000. The business is being into court-ordered receivership.
