That wreck involved a 1983 Kenworth being driven by Jack Leggett of a Heflin address, and a 2007 Lexus driven by 23 year old Latland Mauldin from Grant. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report – and a report from WAFF TV48 – the Lexus rear-ended the log truck, which caused a log to pierce the windshield of the car.
