There’s one guy who’s guaranteed to be on Santa’s “Good” list next year – he’s Chris Guess, the owner of Horizon’s Gas Station on Highway 277 in Stevenson.
Why? Because he sold gasoline for under a dollar a gallon all day long on Christmas Day!
The price for regular gasoline started at 25 cents a gallon that morning, later going up to 50 cents and finally 75 cents a gallon.
Guess said he “…just wanted to do something special for the locals” – praising the people in the small community which supports his business; he added “…we just want to give back to them.”
At one point, the gas line was reportedly almost a mile long; its estimated that the business sold more than 8,000 gallons of gasoline on Thursday.
