The Centre Rotary Club, along with Cherokee County Schools, recently held a canned food drive to benefit the Cherokee County Crisis Center.

The Crisis Center’s food inventory has been depleted in recent months. The goal of the food drive was to replenish their inventory to enable them to continue serving the Cherokee County residents that qualify for their assistance.

The food drive succeeded in donating an estimated 5,000 cans of food to the Crisis Center. Centre Middle School collected the most cans with their total of 2,015. Their food drive was sponsored by the 7th grade Math & Science Club.

Several students from the Cherokee County Career & Technology Center were of great help with their assistance in unloading and sorting cans that were delivered to the Cherokee County Crisis Center.
