Two people were arrested on drug charges in Cherokee County on Sunday.
Anissa Paige Anglin, age 26 from Centre, was taken into custody on the charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a bench warrant. Anglin was placed under arrest by Centre Police Department K-9 Unit Officer Billy Roche, and Officer Brody Moses – after being stopped and searched for driving an ATV on the highway.
She was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center shortly after 2:00pm; Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship commended Roche and Moses for their diligent work in the case.
Meanwhile Misty Dawn Mashburn, age 39 of Gadsden – was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on charges of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
She was booked in at the Detention Center just after 2:00am and released shortly after 3:00 that afternoon after posting bond of $1,000.
