An officer with the Bridgeport Police Department was terminated during the Monday night meeting of the city council. Robert Kirk stands accused of drunk driving on November 19th and was charged with DUI.
Stevenson Police say Kirk hit a retaining wall of the on-ramp to Highway 72, and was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries; he was charged the following day.
Kirk is due in Municipal Court on January 6th.
